If you think you might be pregnant but are not sure, your first step is to come to the Pregnancy Resource Center for no-cost pregnancy testing. We offer lab-quality urine pregnancy tests that are 99% accurate.

What Is A Pregnancy Test

When you are pregnant, your body produces the human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) hormone. It makes this hormone in response to a developing placenta after the implantation of an embryo in the uterus. A pregnancy test detects the amount of hCG in your urine to determine if you are pregnant.

When You Should Take a Pregnancy Test

You are likely to get reliable results if you wait until the first day after your missed period (if you have been tracking correctly). Although our tests can detect hCG in urine as early as 4 days before your missed period, it is more sensitive in the days after. By waiting, you will get a more accurate result from the test.

Home Pregnancy Tests

Over-the-counter tests are more reliable than they used to be, but it’s easy for women to get inaccurate results. If the test is taken too soon or the directions are not followed correctly, there is a possibility you will get a false negative result. Because our pregnancy tests are free of charge, we suggest, no matter what result you got from a home test, you come to the Pregnancy Resource Center for another test to confirm your results.

If Your Pregnancy Test Is Positive

A positive test usually means you are pregnant, but not always. If you receive a positive test result, you need to confirm if it’s a viable pregnancy with an obstetrical ultrasound. There is so much more to know about your pregnancy. Read about our free limited obstetrical ultrasounds and the benefit of receiving one here.

We assure you that our no-cost pregnancy tests and our other services are completely confidential. No one will be notified.

Contact our Center and schedule your pregnancy test. There’s no need to wonder when we are available to help you. Let us walk this journey alongside you.
